Pheewww. (thats a big sigh)

I don't even know where to start, this past couple weeks has been absolutely crazy. Its been full of long days and hard work, lots of laughs and some hard moments too, but most of all its been full of God's grace. From the moments that I get to spend with Sarah to my morning walks to the church when I look out on the water and the sun breaks through the clouds and He speaks to me through the music in my headphones. It occurs every day, His grace is indeed sufficient and has never been more real.

God has also been providing for us in ways that we never would have thought. From people dropping off bags of groceries to complete strangers giving to us online, He has been doing a mighty work and has not let us down. The Church has never been more real as we have not been in need. (Acts 2)

The exciting news is that we had our first practice services yesterday, with over 300 people in attendance! We have been blessed with an excited and large core group of people who will help ensure a smooth public launch on March 16th. We are beginning to advertise and we expect local media to show up soon asking questions. Continue to pray for us as we move forward towards our public launch March 16th.

Part of my internship at Mars Hill includes life/ministry coaching in which I am currently creating 'life accounts' in which I will deposit 'actions' that will gain interest over the next year. For example, I previously posted a new painting, this painting was the result of an 'action' that was put on my calander in regards to my 'personal development life account'.... kinda confusing I know but I will be explaining all this in more detail as I wrap it up. Its going to be really cool and will provide tangible ways for me to track growth in my ministry and personal life.

I took these pictures yesterday at our first service. They aren't that great but they give you a little glimpse of the almost finished building. Enjoy.

We miss you all greatly (those in CA). Feel free to give us a ring any time.

lots of love, Joel and Sarah
