It is my mission to use Redson Creative as a vehicle in which to transport the thoughts, experiences and emotions of my life that I have put onto canvas into the homes and work places of others. My intention is to share these thoughts, experiences and emotions with people through color and shape.
I have been painting for 8 years and have been learning much throughout this time. Over the past 8 years I have developed my own style and I hope now to spend the rest of my life developing this style. Throughout the years I have given away many pieces and have also donated to different organizations including Invisible Children, an organization seeking to stop children from being made into soldiers in
As of recently I have felt released to pursue using my art as a source of income. To do this I must get my art into places that people will see it with the opportunity to buy it. To start this process I connected with some local artists who spent over two hours with me giving me feedback on my art as well as tons of information about how and where to get plugged in. I hope to continue building a relationship with these two local artists.
According to these artists (Chris and Kate), the
Success for me will take up to a year of developing not only my art, but also relationships within the local art community. I am starting now by moving into more ‘professional’ medias such as oil paints. I plan to start two new acrylic and two new oil paintings this month for the purpose of beginning to build up my portfolio. Chris and Kate have offered to continue to give me feedback as I grow and expand into this new endeavor. Please pray for me as I seek to bring blessing to others through creativity.
For now, you can refer people to myspace.com/redsoncreative until I get my website up and running.

Hey Joel, Kyle told me that you included a link to our sites on your blog. Thanks so much for doing so! We had a good time chatting with you, and kudos for a great write-up about opportunities for artists in Seattle. One small correction/addition, though...it's not really that artists want to show at cafes instead of galleries, but rather that it's a great way to jump-start things and get noticed. Most artists still want to get into a high-end gallery! :) But the beauty of Seattle is that people can have really respectable shows in cafes, pubs, salons, stores, etc., and that's where they often get noticed and picked up by the more traditional venues. Hope that makes sense, and that you're okay with the comment. Looking forward to meeting up with you again soon.
Oh yeah, and by the way, your art is going in the right direction. Looking forward to seeing more of it!
Thanks Kate! That makes total sense!
Joel
So good to see you are gong for it. I love that you are pursuing art! We need to get together again. Let me know if you are ever in Tacoma and I will do the same if I am in Seattle.

gong for it????
Going for it!!!
Joel, to use your artistic talent and the experiences you've had in your art is always a great idea. I've always respected your abilities in contrasting color on canvas, and I'm somewhat envious of your skill. I favor several of your pantings I've seen on your walls and I feel this an exceptional idea to sell your creations for the enjoyment of others. I think it's really neat to have something that you've inspired to create maybe hanging in the dining room amongst a family of four while they enjoy their meal and the presence of your art.
It wouldn't be a bad way to earn some extra cash for yourself and others.
Keep it up, and Godspeed. ;)
Hey Joel.
Isnt it such a calm and crazy feeling to actually do what your heart says you are passionate about? I am so glad to see you pursue this. I dodnt know you as the artist back in Ovale, but I knew you were creative. How creative...you are off the hook talented.
I enjoy seeing your work and following you along your dream. God planted a seed in you and look at how ypu sow it and make it into a flourishing garden. Keep at it.
Your friends...
Darby and Brad
